AND WE THOUGHT KRAVE WAS GONNA HAVE THE WORST WEEK EVER :-/
Given his Pro-Strike comments and statements that the Prez. has made the past few days, his decision to make a strike on Syria doesn’t surprise us but none-the-less hearing his confirmation makes it all too real.
Earlier today Obama spoke to the public at The White House to announce that he has officially decided to take military action on Syria for their alleged use of chemical weapons on their civilians resulting in the deaths of hundreds including children.
While the Prez has made his decision and believes that he has “the authority to carry out this military action without specific congressional authorization,” he also stated, “I know that the country will be stronger if we take this course and our actions will be even more effective.”
Congress will begin to deliberate on Obama’s decision once they return from their summer recess on September 9th. If the British Prime Minister David Cameron’s lack of support from the House of Commons is any indication of what the U.S. Congress might decide, than the question is – Will Obama move forward with the strike regardless of U.S. Congress approval?
